My stay at the Novotel was a great one. The only downfall was that the hotel was renovating their Fitness room, which was the only way in to go to the indoor swimming pool. But when I did get the chance to go to the pool, it was a very relaxed place to be. It had a nice ambience.
The overall look of the hotel was splendid. The entrance into the hotel looked grand with its stairway to the second floor. The people who worked there were all helpful and their english was impeccable.
The restaurant had a nice setting to it. The breakfast buffet had a mix of both western and chinese foods. The dinner buffet was excellent was as well although a bit pricy. But what would expect staying at a 4-star hotel. The only downfall for the restaurant is the mineral bottled water. 50 yuan for a small bottle of evian water. Not worth it at all and 25 yuan for a can of Coca-Cola. All in all, the restaurant had a nice french style to its food. A nice blend of chinese cuisine mixed with french cuisine.
My experience at the hotel was a good one. I would recommend the hotel to those who do not mind paying more money to stay at a hotel that has alot of comfort to it. If you just a bed to sleep in, then Novotel Peace is not the place for you. But if you want luxury at a non-luxury cost, I recommend the Novotel Peace Hotel.

| "We arrived about 10:30 pm to find no hot water in our room. Next morning we contacted Housekeeping, who sent someone to fix the problem.That night there was no hot water again, and Housekeeping's advice was to run the water for 15-20 minutes - very hard to do when you are from drought-stricken South Aust! However we did get hot water in the end. Next morning we saw the Duty Manager, who checked the situation and decided to upgrade us. So we spent the next 3 nights in a beautiful room on the 17th Floor. Consequently we have nothing but praise for our treatment at this Hotel. The service they provided,the superb breakfast each morning, and the friendly and efficient staff throughout the establishment made our stay very enjoyable." |
