The Novotel Peace Hotel was everything I needed and expected. It has a great central location - very convenient - and the facilities are first class. Any hotel succeeds or fails according to its staff and I found the people running the hotel, from the assistant manager to the bellboy, to be knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and helpful. My only criticism is the hardness of the beds, but I gather this is a Chinese characteristic!!
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Beijing.

| "We arrived about 10:30 pm to find no hot water in our room. Next morning we contacted Housekeeping, who sent someone to fix the problem.That night there was no hot water again, and Housekeeping's advice was to run the water for 15-20 minutes - very hard to do when you are from drought-stricken South Aust! However we did get hot water in the end. Next morning we saw the Duty Manager, who checked the situation and decided to upgrade us. So we spent the next 3 nights in a beautiful room on the 17th Floor. Consequently we have nothing but praise for our treatment at this Hotel. The service they provided,the superb breakfast each morning, and the friendly and efficient staff throughout the establishment made our stay very enjoyable." |

Only negative comment on the room: king size bed was extremely uncomfortable.
Lunch and dinner prices in the restaurant, are expensive, considering value." |
