My group and I stayed at Novotel Xinquiao last May, 2005 after our Shanghai tour. The room I stayed in is marvelous! they deliver bottled water everyday, the coffee/tea making facility is excellent! the towels and linens are fresh everyday. Housekeeping staff are very efficient. Buffet breakfast is also good and chef keeps on checking if there are items that needs to be refilled. Kudos to the staff of this hotel.

| "Overall the hotel is central to everything and the amenities suit my needs. It has everything a budget traveller or a family requires. The room however is a bit dark even if you switch the lights on. Also the hotel should have advised guests that the sponge bath is not free. I was surprised when I checked out that I have to pay for this. My understanding was this was part of the bath gel and shampoo.
