3/5  Posted by MS. OPSAHL, Anniken, Norway in March 2008
"Nice location! The hotel is located closely to great shopping area as well as the Tianmin square and the Forbidden city. The room was big and very comfortable. The only negative was the beds - they were really hard, and we had some troubles sleeping. It's also difficult to speak English with the staff - they don't know much English. "

"This was an excellent facility and an outstanding $ value for all the amenities included/offered. A great location to be able to walk to the pedestrian shopping street and/or to get a taxi to all the sights and other shopping complexes. Highly recommend for those travelling to Beijing!"

"The Prime Hotel was excellent. Clean, beautiful and elegant. The service and staff were impeccable. The location was good for reaching points of interest and shopping. The dining opportunities are varied inside the hotel and there are several excellent small restaurants nearby. A great value for the price. I will recommend the Prime to everyone I know going to Beijing, and it will always be my first choice!"

"the staff were obliging, the hotel was clean and tidy, the ground floor coffee shop and buffet were good, the location for holiday travel was very good."

"The Prime hotel location is very close to a shopping center, which is convenient. The lobby decore is very nice too. however, the dinner buffet at one of the restaurant was okay at best. some food were obviously overcooked and blanded. Also, the gym facility is a little old and could use an upgrade. But overall, the hotel is very nice and clean."

"This hotel was the best we have stayed in so far in Beijing. (we have been 4 times). The reception desk was friendly and accommodating and spoke good English. They even upgraded us! The room was lovely and clean. The bathroom was luxury and the bed was huge! We didnt eat there but they seemed to have a few restaurants on site. Good walking distance to Wangfujing Shopping strip. We would definitely stay at Prime again without a doubt. "

"The Hotel was excellent as we arrived in Beijing. It allowed us to have a 'soft landing'. We enjoyed it so well that we decided to spend two more nights there on our way home from central China. Buffet and the French resturant were excellent. We did not try the Chinese resturant. The walking distance to the entrance of the Forbidden City was further than the map or Concierge indicated. Language was still a bit of a problem at the front desk when asking directions. The employees were very courteous and helpful. The rooms and service were excellent."

"ROOM SERVICE CHINESE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE AND AMERICAN COFFEE WAS VERY STRONG AND THICK. I COMPLAINED, BUT THEY CHARGED ME ANYWAY. FRONT DESK STAFF WAS UNFRIENDLY AND RUDE. NO THANKS YOU'S FOR MY STAY AND NO POLITE CONVERSATION. VERY LITTLE ENGLISH SPOKEN, I HAD A TRANSLATOR WITH ME LUCKILY."

"Wonderful hotel and people couldn't ask for more Andy"

"This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and it is one of the nicer hotels in china, though it can be quite pricey, it is worth the money due to the fact the most staff speak a little english. In the whole week we were there we only had problems with on guy staff member that worked here which we sorted it out in the end. Hotel is in easy reach of the forbidden city and only a short cab away from most of place like silk street or beijing zoo. Rooms are well kepted and bathroom is excellent. "
