"I stay for 3 nights in this hotel. Already the welcome from the front door men was extremely nice and friendly in this was continued during the whole stay...The room (park side) was even in the old wing of the hotel nice, quiet, big and clean. And the breakfast is so rich that I stand up one hour’s earlier to have the time to enjoy. "

"good hotel in a brilliant location. We first booked into the Beijing hotel in the centre of town however checked out straight away as the hotel was filthy. We moved to the Shangrila and were more than happy. Good room, good service, very well layed out and compfy beds :) . It cost a little more than the Beijing hotel but the difference is worth the bit extra! Will definitely be staying here next time I come to Beijing."

"We stayed in the hotel 3 nights on may 2006 (in delux room). Very very nice and well kept Delux hotel, lovely garden, outstanding staff and service. Location is not the best :30 -45 miniutes by taxi( about 4-5 Dollars) to silk market. Relatively, close to airport (about 8-10 dollars by taxi). "

"On my last visit to Beijing I had the opportunity to stay at the Shangri La Hotel on the 4th Ringroad. After so many times staying in ugly dorms in Beijing I enjoyed the luxury of this Five-Star-HotelThe Western breakfast was also very good. But that I can have every day at home! From my window in the 17th floor I had a spectacular view of Beijing. It was in February, so the air was full of sand from Gobi Desert. Everything is in "Shangri-La" standard plus the room is very big and well maintained. They offer free fruit and lunch coupon to Shangri-La member card owners. However, the location is not so good. . The breakfast-buffet was excellent! I love the so called Hundred Years Old Eggs! To the disgust of my fellow travelers I had at least one every morning! "

"Stayed at the hotel during April, our stayed was really luxurious and comfortable. I like the hotel atmosphere, it was quite out of way from the central but quiet and peaceful. The hotel environment was really wonderful. The room was spacious and clean. The ensuite bathroom was clean and functional. The breakfast was adequate with wide range of the menus. ...The hotel staffs had great attitude and willing to help. It was very easy to the Taxi around the hotel and the fare was so cheap. Brilliant hotel and well worth. Highly recommend to stay here ... it could not be dissapointed."

"The hotel is situated at the Central of City around the Financial area. We stayed at the hotel for a week and it was great for our business trip. There was wonderful garden surrounding the hotel. Our room was on 25th floor with the amazing panoramic view of Beijing. The room was luxury modern and comfortable with the excellent amenities. Hotel staffs were excellent and professional. Concierge service could help you all the question or problems about Beijing. I feel at home and will stay here anytime in Beijing."
