The Hotel looked very good in the photos but found the rooms to be very old. Service was good and the staff was always ready to help. Disappointing that the hotel does not have money exchange facilities, we were caught out with a limited amount of RMB and could not get any australian dollars exchanged from Bank of China, simply because it was saturday. They would have exchanged US $, but not australian.

| "Great hotel. Very good price. Excellent location for major tourist sites. A little way from the CBD but we walked into the CBD from the hotel and it was an interesting walk. Easy access for cabs. Staff here were excellent and extremely helpful. They were able to help us with transport, information for getting the The Great Wall in an inexpensive way. They were very helpful with little things. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Beijing and we would definitely stay there again." |

| "I've stayed in Beijing 3 times now and this is the hotel I would wholeheartedly recommend, not just for it's facilities, cleanliness and friendly helpful staff, but also for it's location, being handy to major sites and on the edge of the wonderfully interesting hutong. Such a great place to explore.
If you have the time to save money by using buses/ subway, the bus 109 can take you straight east to the subway at Chaoyangmen, or staight west/then south to the subway at Xidan ( teenage heaven at the underground 77th Street 3 floor arcade area). As for shopping, the Panjiayuan flea market is tops for trinkets/furniture/crockery etc. The Pearl market near Tiantan is quiet, and a less exasperating experience than the Silk Market ( though with less clothing choice, I would shop here first for basics, then gather strength to tackle the Silk market).Enjoy your stay!" |
