This hotel was convenient to the airport. Facilities were excellent. The reception rooms were large to the point of grandiosity. Service was friendly. Though breakfast was not included in my rate, they gave me breakfast gratis.

| "Hotel is fine if you have an over night stay to get on an onward flight. For an extended stay in Chengdu, a hotel downtown would be more fun. Checkout was very slow. Staff had a hard time to speak english (and me to speak chinese....).

I liked the outside pool, nothing fancy, but big and differently temeratured baths

| "My wife and I just completed an 18-day tour of China. For 4 of the 18 days, we stayed at the Homeland Hotel in Chengdu. It is a very clean & nice hotel. If you can get reservations on the 9th floor at these rates, then it is worth even more as this is their "suites" for Business travelers with Fax/internet capability. We stayed on the 9th floor once and the remaining three days, we were on the 8th floor. Bathrooms are somewhat small but adequate and clean. Their is a safe for storing your valuables and, 2 free bottles of water daily for your use. This hotel is very close to the Chengdu airport and therefore, it is quite a ways from downtown Chengdu. But one get catch a taxi into town.
Breakfast is buffet style and all you do is show or inform them of your room number. If you do not bring a laptop PC w/ you, you can pay to use the one in their downstairs business center. It costs 0.50 RMB (Yuan) per minute of use (as of Oct. 2005, the exchange rate is 1 US$ is approximately 8 RMBs). Their business office is open early in the morning and remains open until 11:00 PM.
