| "I made the hotel booking online and had no real idea of what to expect until my arrival. My check in was very late night afer a delayed flight, the cab driver asissted me with my luggage not a concierge in sight. The check in was difficult as there was a language problem but we made it none the less. The hotel is well situated in the business and shopping area of the city and easy access to most tour sites available.
The big problem was there was little tourist information on hand and the concierge staff seemed to have a strange hold on the providing of "guides and drivers" for a heavily inflated price.There is a tourist centre that are great and can be contacted per telephone. The hotel has been in better condition in her day and appears tired and in need of refurbishment. My room was comfortable and non smoking, a non smoking room at the time as I do not somke but prior occupants did and the room smelled of stale tobacco. The shower was faulty and in need of repair, I was immediately moved to another room of a similar standard that also had a dirty bathroom, but the shower worked. The breakfasts were a nightmare for a westerner but generally meals were of good quality, plenty of it and well priced. I would not stay there again, I was disappointed especially when Chengdu is a renowned tourist destination, also very few of the staff could converse in english and communication was difficult." |

| "The hotel room is quite clean and of good size too. Aircon need some improvement. Kind of hot at times. Corridor leading to the rooms need renovation too-looks a little run down. I will give 5 stars for its location. It cannot get any closer to town. Many shopping malls and restaurants nearby. Ideal for business travellers." |

the rooms were quite good, as we expected.
The location is not important because chengdu has not very much to offer. Everything is in the outside (panda research center, leshan,etc)

| "hotel - situatation couldn't be better. plenty of
places to eat , all standards, within walking distance. Shop till you drop on the doorstep. Lots to do nearby. Comfortable, staff ok" |
