| "Wonderful hotel that well deserves its recent upgrade to a 5 Star hotel. Lacks all the superficial glitz that some might expect from newer 5 stars, but it makes up for this in good taste. Rooms are enormous (especially considering similarly priced hotels in China). Staff are friendly and everyone is schooled in basic English, if even just down to a smile and a simple "Good evening".
Might be seen to be a bit out of the way from the main shopping area, but bear in mind that Chengdu taxis are extremely inexpensive, and the hotel doormen speak enough English to direct any taxi caught from the main entrance. Chengdu is a huge, sprawling city, so the position of any Chengdu hotel is entirely relative.
A memorable week!" |

| "One of the best hotels in China we stayed at. Great extremely attentive and friendly staff. They speak English perfectly.
We tried their room service and the food was excellent.
My wife and I will stay in this hotel again.
Note: We stayed on one of the three non-smoking floors.

| "We loved the room and the bathroom, both very stylish, absolutely great value. We had some problems of comunicating with the staff in english and the tours the hotel offered were only in chinese. Problems also to get informations about the tibetan restaurant of the hotel." |

| "We recently stayed three nights at the Tibet Chengdu Hotel, and enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful - they helped arrange a trip to the Panda Research Centre, the room was fantastic - my wife and I were celebrating our third wedding anniversary and the room made her feel special. The restaurant was good and morning breakfast was fantastic - good selection and plenty of it. The next time we plan a trip to China we will put Chengdu on our places to visit and the Tibet Hotel will be top of our list." |

| "We stayed at the Tibet Hotel in Chengdu in May, 2005 and it was stunningly beautiful. The rooms were gorgeous and large and the huge bathrooms were exceptional with marble, granite and other top of the line features such as separate shower and bathtub. It was the cleanest hotel we encountered in China. The Tibet Hotel Chengdu was at least comparable in all ways to the nicest hotels in the USA." |
