| "We booked one of the best rooms for our 2 night stay as the river and view was the purpose of the stop-over in Guilin. Unfortunately the weather did not respond to our wishes, but the hotel was all we expected from the reviews.
The breakfasts were magnificent!
The staff on Reception, especially the women, need lessons in "welcoming" guests.
At extra expense we obtained our private guide, through the tourist information desk at the airport, and we were pleased with this." |

| "Nice hotel in the city center, what makes it convenient. Nice rooms, which are clean and are relaxing, specially the rooms with the riverview.
During our stay the waterfall didn't work: made in China is my personal remark.
I still have difficulties in general with the way the Chinese people are providing 'service', like the charge for 6 Euros for a child's breakfast of one donut. And in general the food is poor in the hotel, therefore a low score on facilities.
And make sure that the couple next door isn't 'too romantic' during the night, as it can be noisy.

| "The hotel is perfectly located and our room had a lovely view overlooking the river, Elephant Trunk Hill and a lake. The lights at night were just lovely as was the waterfall down the side of the Hotel at 7.30pm each night. Just a very short walk to the main shopping street and a lovely cafe called Rosemary Cafe which serves Western food.Staff were very helpful. Breakfast buffet also good. Would definitely recommend this hotel." |

| "Cannot fault the hotel, its location adjacent to the river and lake is superb and it backs on to a large pedestrianised area containing a vast range of restaurants, bars and retail outlets. The waterfall which cascades down the rear of the hotel twice a day is spectacular, however, it is worth paying a little more and getting a ‘River View’ room at the front. We were on the ninth floor and the view of the river and lake with its pagodas was wonderful. There are four restaurants in the hotel, due to the length of our stay we only sampled one which was acceptable and, by western standards, was reasonably priced. For those looking to sample the local cuisine, there are many good restaurants in easy reach of the hotel.
We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

| "Hotel location is great as it is in the middle of downtown area. Rooms are tired looking and need updating. Doors banging kept my wife awake during night. I booked riverview room expecting hotel to be at rivers edge. Riverview is possible but is in the distance." |

| "Great hotel - best in class in Guilin. We drove by the Sheraton - it looks really old.
The staff speaks Chinglish, and can help you find your way around town.
The restaurants are very reasonably priced.
The rooms are small, but are CLEAN and well appointed.
The beds are rock hard - but that is China for you!
Highly recommended." |

| "This is probably one of the nicest hotels in Guilin. The price is a bit high compared to other hotels in China, but most travelers will find the price OK. We checked in very late, as our flight was delayed. The staff gave us horrible directions to get to our room and at 1:00am, we found it very hard to locate. Also it was not clear where breakfast was in the morning. I think a map would be helpful, because of the floorplan of this hotel. The rooms were fine and the breakfast was OK. I would stay here again, considering there are limited choices in Guilin. " |

| "I was most impressed with the Waterfall. Staff were friendly as I have found them to be in most Chinese hotels and most had a grasp of English. They were very helpful in suggesting day trips and writing down instructions in Chinese for drivers. The location is excellent, step out the door and you are right in the city centre. There is an impressive man made waterfall which flows down the entire 10 stories of the hotel for 10 mins each night. Views from the room are fantastic, Guilins beauty can be seen directly from your room. Never ate in hotel. I would be happy to return." |
