| "Enjoyed our stay at this hotel which was well located comfortable and clean. Room prices were reasonable but the additional Guilin room tax came as a surprise and should be clearly stated. Unfortunately I was propositioned for sex twice right outside the hotel during our three night stay.
Found the evening buffet and breakfast which was not included to be overly expensive. Again the tax of 15% came as a surprise and the wording on the menu that the tax was additional for the "convenience" of the guests is laughable - our convenience or the hotels?" |

| "it was ok. A very american style hotel, very impressive hall. The room was ok. The staff also ok. Some of the reception staff did not speak much english. I was told that it is the best hotel in Guilin." |

| "It is a good hotel, but not a 5 stars. It is very old and not very well maintenence (old carpets, toilet, etc). The pool is big and good, but water had many clour. Service is good in general, but I've found a problem with my reservation (due to an internal error in Sheraton boooking management) and I need several hours of discussion to solve it (I guess eficient employees are usually dificult to find in China, but that's not my business). After solving the situation they were very kind. If you get a good price it's a good choice (it's really difucult to find excellent hotels in China, except in Hong Kong I guess), but if not, try a not much than 10 years old hotel." |

| "The Sheraton Guilin has large room big enough for three people; river view; great service. Might need a little upgrading, but this is insignificant compared to all of the pluses that I mentioned." |
