If booking a room at this hotel, I suggest you request a room on a higher floor (as it is on two busy streets) and with a view of the river. If you have that, as we did, you will probably be very satisfied.
The rooms are very clean and well maintained.
Very close by is a pedestrian street with lots of food choices and on the river street a few internet cafes with good coffee.

| "When you enter the hotel you get the feeling that this is quite a nice hotel. However - once you get out of the elevator and walk towards the room you notice that the place is fairly run down. The carpets in the hallway and in the room seem rather old and run down. This is a pity because the room and the bathroom/shower itself have a good size and also the view of our room was great (overlooking the river).
We were also a little surprised that it was - in a place like Guilin - sort of hard to communicate in English. We tried to book a boat-tour from Guilin to Yangshou and the ladies in the travel-office at the hotel did hardly understand what we wanted." |

| "Room condition was great and newly renovated. Bathroom is big though without bathtub. The sewage is the only problem, as the water just can't go down while bathing.
On overall, nice ambience, good location to shopping districts of Zhengyang Road and Zhongshan Road.
Attractions are nearby; I walked to the Seven Stars Park which is Guilin's largest park, Fubo Hill and Elephant Trunk Hill. Arm yourself with a map, which I purchased in-room at 5 Yuan. Numerous massage palours nearby too.
Tour desk available at hotel lobby, but I booked tours through CITS China travel agency office located adjacent to the hotel. " |
