We stayed for 2 periods in October 2007 - first 3 nights and some days later 1 night. Both stays were very successful. We also stayed at Lake View in september 1998 when we came to Hangzhou to adopt our daughter Mia, now 11,5 years old. We could see, that the hotel has been renovated since 1998, and it was very nice also this time. The fact that the hotel is situated just in front of West Lake, makes it absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed our visit to your hotel and noted the Danish flag when we arrived - a very nice gesture.
We will surely stay at Late View the next time we visit Hangzhou.
Just 1 thing - if the very nice girls who works in the beautiful restaurant on the 8th floor could learn just a bit more english for next time (just like the very nice staff in the reception) - that would be perfect......

| "We were very happy with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. The facilities were good and very clean. The location very close to West Lake is ideal. It has a business centre which can help with bookings. We would definitely stay there again if visiting Hangzhou." |

| "Seemed rather overpriced for a slightly aging hotel. Moderately expensive lake-view room caught the side of the lack and much of the building wall, and yes the nice lake. Not much service (not even an effort to help me get my suitcase to the room). Next time I pass on the "lake-front" room (and hotel) and find something two blocks in at half the price or less. " |

| "Lake View Hotel is a spectacular hotel, very clean, well decorated and with all the trimmings. The location is very good, close to major shopping streets and across the road from West Lake. The restaurant overlooks West Lake. Probably the best located hotel in Hangzhou from that perspective. One bad thing, though, we had A LOT of trouble finding out where the hotel was. Since hardly anybody speaks or reads English in China the name "Lakeview Hotel" did not mean diddly squat and they could not read the street address in English that asia rooms provided us. We had to go through several tour guides, asking widely, until one could tell us where the hotel was. My advice, get the hotel name and address translated into Chinese before you get there, because once you mention the hotel name in Chinese, everyone knows of it. Other than that, the hotel was very good.. even though the attendee at the restaurant could not speak English and didn't understand what we could possibly be doing coming into the restaurant and making eating motions..." |

| "i booked the delux room with lake view, the best room per say. to my disappointment, i can't see much of the lake cos the hotel is separated from the lake by a huge road in bet. it also didn't help that the highest floor of the hotel is only 7 floor.. i was on the 5th. simply too expensive, Singapore $170, for the little view that i get. over that, the hotel seems to be the best, in terms of class, ard that area. you can be quite proud to tell the visitors that you 're staying at that hotel. not bad for a hotel, clean and like a 5 star hotel, that is, if you don't mind no view... the health club seems sleasy... dark and...you know what i mean..." |
