"The Wharton International was a very nice, quiet hotel. My room was clean (except the carpet) and had a great view of the river and the wonderful outdoor swimming pool. All of the staff were very professional and I had no problems communicating in English (I didn't need my Mandarin dictionary). The breakfast buffet was quite limited and overpriced. They also charged too much for internet access -- try the Biz Cafe downtown -- it's free and they have many reasonably priced drinks ! Rooms service meals were very good and reasonably priced. Their lobby piano lounge was a great place to relax in the evening, but unfortunately allowed smokers ! Overall, this was a very good place to stay and only a short taxi ride to the downtown shopping/restaurant areas."
