| "The staff at this hotel speak not one word of English. At the reception desk, I attempted, with a bit of sign language and a display of my passport, air ticket, and money envelope, to secure a deposit box. I was given a plastic bag instead!
On the positive side, the room was clean, if a bit on the spartan and worn-down side. The bathroom contained plenty of little soap and shampoo and body wash packets, which were restocked daily.
A problem not unique to this hotel: With no overhead lighting and just the dimmest of desklamps, I was unable to read after dark without straining my eyes.
Really just a notch up from a budget hotel, Zhong Gang has one unmistakable merit. Location. Carrefour is within five to ten minutes walking distance, as (I think) is Jusco, in another direction. A large Bank of China branch, where (conveniently), I was able to change Korean won into RMB (something most banks won't do) was also just a couple of blocks away.
On the other hand: no room service, no breakfast, really nothing (other than cable TV and a bed) which would induce you to spend any time in the room." |

| "Hello!
This hotel is located in downtown of Qingdao. Good rooms and personal. But...
The conditioner works badly, a floor do not clean a vacuum cleaner. But...
This hotel has fine view at the window. The hotel is located close to the basic shops, restaurants and sea. But...
The personnel does not speak in English. It's not good. During too time it is good stimulus to learn some words on Chinese.
Nevertheless hotel very good and we had in it unforgettable days.
Thank you to all personnel and special thanks to Maa - woman, who work in reception.
Alexander.
