We really enjoyed our stay at the Central Hotel. The room was clean and the hotel staff was courteous and professional. The Concierge Desk was especially helpful. Not speaking any Mandarin, they were able to assist us with our questions in English as well as provide directions and translations for the cab drivers. Thanks to the Central Hotel for helping make our first experience of Shanghai such a memorable one!

| "The people at the reception were rather businesslike, whereas the concierge and the bell boys were very friendly and helpful.
The lobby is nice but rather dull and quiet, but good for people wanting to avoid crowded lobbies.
The location is excellent overlooking the Nanjing pedestrian road.
