First of all, we must thank AsiaRooms.com for having promotion on Central Hotel Shanghai while we were trying to search a hotel in Shanghai just 2 weeks before departing. The location of this hotel is excellent! Just a minute walk to Nanjing pedestrian street, the famous shopping street where you can shop till you drop and only 15 mins walk away from the Bund.
Both of us travelled with our 11 months old baby boy, we actually requested a crib only on arrival from the reception, and we were impressed with the speediness of the housekeeping by sending the crib to our room just within 20 minutes. And we were happy with the cleanliness of both the room and the bathroom. Just one piece of advise, do request for higher floor whenever possible. We stayed at a lower floor as requested on the internet and the view was blocked by the sphere shape block of the hotel. The receptionist was polite, and the bell boys were extremely helpful. We were given breakfast even though it stated on our reservation voucher that breakfast was not included, that's indeed a bonus! There're plenty of selections on the breakfast buffet: continental, american, chinese... we actually enjoyed the food!
Eventhough it's a 4 Stars hotel, we felt it should be granted a 5 stars!! It's valued for money and we would recommend families and business travellers to consider staying in this hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again when we come to Shanghai next time.

| "The people at the reception were rather businesslike, whereas the concierge and the bell boys were very friendly and helpful.
The lobby is nice but rather dull and quiet, but good for people wanting to avoid crowded lobbies.
The location is excellent overlooking the Nanjing pedestrian road.
