| "Very good room and excellent breakfast (chinese, continental, fresh fruits, cheese, hot meals,...).
Travel desk is not efficient. Very friendly service.
Location very close to Railway station - ideal for travellers with using the train, but also close to a Metro/Subway station." |

| "The location is quite cental. Exactly in front of Train station. After 25min wokking, you will stay already by People square, entreance Nanjing road.
The Breakfast was poor, poor quality and everyday the same choice. Service staff not really good organized.
Big challange with english, the most people are not speaking english at the Hotel. From the Pudong Airport it's 1.5 hours fare away with Taxi. Taxi is cheap and very fast. Just the english is the biggest challange. Make surr you can get the Chinese name from somebody or get it from a book, so you be able to show it the Taxi driver.
Shanghai is a great City with a lot of high tech in city and nice shopping mall." |

| "The hotel is located next to Shanghai railway station, and it's easy to go to the city centre by train.
The room we had was very small, and the reason I don't give full score is because of a terrible smell of painting in the room and the 19th floor. The smell comes from redecoration, and will probably not be permanent.
The service and facilities were good, and all i all we had a nice stay at the hotel.

| "Not exactly downtown, but subway access is very close. Just 2 stops away from the main station in People's Square and Nanjing Road. Good value for money" |

| "Me and my husband have stayed in the hotel for two nights only, the hotel is impressive and has two wings, you must let the driver know which wing you are in otherwise you will have to cross the road and might be difficult when you are carrying purchases. The hotel is 25 minutes far from any shopping district due to heavy traffic, but it is the norm in shanghai that traffic jam is there almost all day long. " |

| "During my stay, the hotel being renovated, so i feel the noisy situation. I complaint to the management,,,n thanks God they change my room to Suite Room n facing the Railway Station. The breakfast is ok, just for 5 nights stay,,,they do serve the same menu. Location is suitable is you want to explore Shanghai by Metro, just drop off at Shanghai Railway Station (Line 1) and exit via Exit 3. " |

| "firstly the staff were very hospitable and tried hard with their english. We did have a slight problem with the air conditioning with the smoke filtering through although we were on a non smoking floor. But graciously the manager upgraded us to the other building where we were more than comfortable. The included breakfast was a feast and a credit to the hotel. Everything was on offer, and obviously having had a hearty breakfast we were set up for the rest of the day. The hotel is situated near a metro and the train station which we did use often. Restaurants in the area are poor, but meals at the hotel are highly recommended. Thank you for a lovely week. It was a complete experience." |

| "The LAst trip when I went to Shanghai, I check-in to Holiday Inn Vista, it was a very nice and happy stay over there.
This time round, I thought I choose downtown is due to the location which is convenient. However, to my disappointment, I was not very satisfy during my stay in Shanghai. The Air-Con system in my room was not functioning well. During the day time, there are renovation going on the other floor which disturb my rest. The water pressure in the toilet is also very low. They also trying to charge me for the breakfast until I further varified with them.
I would not recommend my business partners and friends to stay at Downtown, if not because of the location. I would rather travel another 10 mins to stay in Vista. More over, Dontown charges is higher too. It is very difficult to get a cab there too. most of the cabbies wanted to pick up customers from the railway station. Anyway, the Subway is just nearby. " |

| "The Hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean. Location of hotel was by Shanghai Railway station which ran 3 lines of subway and bus debot so using subway was very convinient. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
A couple of drawbacks was that we wanted massages and the hotel only offered this service to men and there were no massage places nearby. Also lack of restaurants around the hotel. We found one on a side street across from the department store but lack of english menu or speaking made it difficult. " |
