| "I got the room from Asiarooms.com for quite good price. We stayed in Royal Meridien Shanghai for a week during the Chinese New Year. It was fantastic. Everything about this hotel was superb, the hotel deco, facility, room equip, service. The staff was very helpful and eager to help. We checked in twice during a week. They let us pick a room out of three, so we had two different view rooms during our stay. The room is not very big, but configued quit well. So you feel it's very spacious, and equiped with 38" plasma TV with DVD player. Bathroom stuffed with L'Occitane shampoo, condition.... they also has a very big, a view of People's Square swimming pool with luxury changing room and shower all equiped with top European brand fixture. I didn't use the restaurants of this hotel simplely becasue there are hundreds of nice restaurants surrounded this hotel. The location of this hotel can't be more perfect. It is right on the begining of East Nanjing Road walking district, adjuscent to the People's Square. The subway is just out side of the building. The only two things I want to point out are first, the water temperature of jaccuzi need to be adjusted up. The water was quite cold. Second, the charge for boardband internet access was a little too expensive, $15 US dollar per day. Otherwise it's a great hotel to stay. " |

| "The hotel is excellently located for both leisure & business. The staffs are very helpful as you would expect from a Starwood hotel.
I was even upgraded to a mini suit so I was very pleasantly surprised.
The only minor faults that I find with the hotel are:
The elevator arrangements are very confusing and troublesome (rather like the Grand Hyatt in Shanghai) and their Spa facilities are poor - but this is not a Spa oriented hotel so I did not expect much from it. Also the rainfall type shower head had water going in most directions (including upwards).
With the price I paid I will definitely go back again." |
