The Pacific hotel has a top notch location. I would definately stay there again. It's right on the center of Nanjing East Road - and there's where the action is. The hotel is little old, but it's decent for young couples and quick stay. It's quite clean inside and the service is not bad. They do try hard to help you out. The east end of Nanjing Road is much more local than the west end. The west is very high end and I liked the hotel that we stayed in. There is a night market closed by as well. I would stay there again.

| "Pacific hotel is very good in term of location and its price. It is just about two minutes walk from Ren Min Plaza subway station.
For the two night that I stayed, the ventalition only supplied heat, no A/C was availalbe. I had to open the window for better ventalition while I was afraid people might get into my room thru it.
If one is looking for something fancy, romantic and nice. Pacific hotel shall not be recommended.

| "Good value for money. The best thing is the location. Only a minute walk away from the subway station and walking distance away from a few good Shanghai sites and restaurants. The old building is great to look at and easy to find again!" |

| "The hotel location is good.
The room size is ok for 2 people.
Room carpet is dirty with stains, toilet is old and room furniture is old.
Hotel staff specially those at the eatery are rude and don't understand english.
Receptionists are ok and understands english, though.
