The first impression was " Huh... such an old building .." as it was built along beautiful nanjing road along with many modern buildings.. the hotel next to it was a " WOW". However the room was very clean and staff were friendly. The bathroom even come with a bathtub which is kinda small though. We didnt try the breakfast as it is quite pricy at RMB55 per pax... If u eat along the shophouse behind the hotel,u can have a very good breakfast for 2 adults and 1 kid at less than RMB30.
However the location of this hotel is superb, it is just next to the subway. And very near Nanjing Road Walk .. nice scenery in the night. The hotel is just next to a modern shopping whereby there are modern arcade games, KTV that impressed me alot.

| "Pacific hotel is very good in term of location and its price. It is just about two minutes walk from Ren Min Plaza subway station.
For the two night that I stayed, the ventalition only supplied heat, no A/C was availalbe. I had to open the window for better ventalition while I was afraid people might get into my room thru it.
If one is looking for something fancy, romantic and nice. Pacific hotel shall not be recommended.

| "Good value for money. The best thing is the location. Only a minute walk away from the subway station and walking distance away from a few good Shanghai sites and restaurants. The old building is great to look at and easy to find again!" |

| "The hotel location is good.
The room size is ok for 2 people.
Room carpet is dirty with stains, toilet is old and room furniture is old.
Hotel staff specially those at the eatery are rude and don't understand english.
Receptionists are ok and understands english, though.
