| "A very good hotel! We think the location is perfect. Away from traffic noice but anyhow close too the city center. We are a family with three children and two adults so we did need two rooms. They arranged two rooms with connecting doors which was very convenient for us. Helpful and friendly staff! For us it was a perfect choice! " |

| "We spent 4 nights at Bamboo Grove. It was not in the centre of the action but was within easy reach and taxis are plentiful and cheap. The first room we were given was right by the 2nd floor foyer and lift and within an hour the dinging of the lift every time it arrived on the floor was driving me mad so I went to ask for another room, much to partner's disgust...he couldn't hear it! yeah... They happily gave me another room but warned me was long way from the lift. That was an understatement and probably an attempt at humour. It is a huge hotel and we had quite a corridor to conquer before we got to the facilities but the peace and quiet and view of the Canal was worth it.
Lovely bar area, great restaurant with a view of the garden including pavilions rocks and geese on the water! A lovely time." |

| "We loved Suzhou and the Bamboo Grove Hotel was an excellent place to stay. The facilities were good; we enjoyed all our buffet meals (breakfast and evening meal) and there was an excllent bar with a talented Philippino group singing most evenings. The hotel staff went out of their way to help us. For example, on Sunday morning the hotel arranged for a taxi to take us to church for Mass, something we had not expected to be able to do in communist China. Overall, our brief stay (just 3 nights) was excellent and we would certaining return.

| "The Bamboo Grove hotel is showing its age and needs needs updating. Front desk staff needs some "hospitality" training.
On the other hand, price is reasonable and facilities adequate. " |
