| "Nice hotel. Good location on the waterfront and near small shopping areas, with a nice view from the window if you pay for the "seaside view". The hotel is kind of far from the Xiamen airport, but with the good exchange rate, it was just a $10 cab ride to the hotel. The hotel staff are somewhat helpful, but not always entirely pleasant about it, nor were they rude though, just indifferent. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, with separate tub and shower stall. The sitting chairs and coffee table were stained, but not filthy. The bed was hard, as advertised, but the sheets and comforter were plush. In-room internet service was fast and reliable, and the laundry service did a good job, though my t-shirts were over-starched. All in all, I'd stay at this hotel again, and recommend it to friends." |

| "The hotel is perfect for the value business traveler centralled located from shopping area and across the street from ferry to visit Gulanyu. Room was very clean yet small, staff friendly but little english, free internet in the room and breakfast was very good. Only problem if you are a light sleeper you will get an 8am wakeup from the clock outside or sometimes hear other guests talking in the hall. " |

| "This is a lovely hotel. There are far bigger and smarter hotels in Xiamen but this has the best location and far more character than the big international chains. A harbour facing room gives you the best view in town and the roof top restaurant is the best place to eat.
The staff are charming and speak just enough English to be helpful. The only thing it needs to be perfect is more tourist information in English, since to date, Xiamen is not geared up for English speaking tourism and can be daunting for first time visitors. " |
