| "After an overnight trainfrom beijing, being quite hungry and getting soaked in a rainstorm, we were quite pleased to be able to check into our room immediately upon arrival. The room was bright, crisp clean and cheery. The decor was perfect, not over-done, and not dreary. The breakfast was terrific. the juice was not watered down like in a lot of places where breakfast is included. There was quite a selection of breads and fruits--all delicious! The omelet station was good too. The one thing I ate that I didn't quite care for was the hamburger-the meat was a bit mushy.The staff was great. The only other thing I could say negative is that I would have preferred the "heated" pool to have been a bit warmer. But otherwise it was a terrific hotel--well worth the value if not for the breakfast alone!" |

| "Room was rather small with a terrible view of the wall of the building next door. Facilities were good and the meals were OK. Service was not very good and rarely did we see a smile on any of the staff at the hotel with the exception of one doorman. The location of the hotel is the major draw card to select this hotel. It is within easy walking distance to the Bell Tower and major shopping centres.
Would recommend to budget travellers only." |

| "Having never been to China before we did a lot of checking and read a lot of reviews of hotels as we planned our trip without an organized tour. The hotel exceeded our expectation we spent 3 weeks in 5 different citiesand found this hotel to have the best customer service we had experienced in China. They spoke very good english, the food at the hotel was good and most of all we spared ourselves from the bulk tours and on the same day of arrival asked the front desk if we could get a local taxi to take us to the terracotta warriors and other tourist spots. Within one hour we had a private driver (hotel driver) for a reasonable price (600 RMB) to take four of us out from noon until about 6pm it was an awesome experience. Going later in the day turned out to be a bonus as we didn't have to fight the crowds. This hotel is an excellent value with the cusotmer service making it feel like a five star hotel. The rooms were a good size and nicley decorated with all of the amenities." |
