Located in a safe and quiet residential area “Barrio Escalante”, one of the first neighborhoods beginning 1940´s, with parking lot ideal for the passengers traveling with car, it is close to San Jose, downtown.1492 named after the Discovery of the New World, which represents the blend of cultures.The tourist that arrives to Costa Rica with its own cultural background will experience the welcoming of another culture, the Costarrican culture with the Spanish architecture and the pre-Columbian paintings in its natural surroundings, the guest will enjoy a particular peace, and comfort at the hotel; it is a cozy and lavishly decorated Spanish-style building originally built as a private residence; it has been beautifully restored and comfortably furnished as a small hotel.
