| "What I liked about this hotel is the overlook of the rooms and hotel in general as it is designed in the old Turkish style with very high doors and elevated ceilings. It is good and located in a very nice place near Sa'd Zaghloul yard." |

| "This is a delightfully quaint anachroinsm although a little worn in places. The breakfasts were a delight.A great location although can be a little noisy despite the double glazing. A few difficulties in paying by visa due to problems with connections." |

| "After paying for these rooms at the Metropole, when we arrived at the hotel, they sent us to a different hotel an hour outside of Alexandria. The location was unsatisfactory, it was a beach resort in maintenance for the winter. The whole reason we picked the Metropole was to be in the center of town. In the new hotel, we had no towels in the room and sat for over an hour waiting to be served in the restaurant only to find out they were out of the food on the menu. It is entirely unacceptable for a hotel to confirm your resrvation, take your money and then move you out of town without telling you in advance.
We will never return to the Metropole." |

| "Is is a perfect glamous hotel. And good quality for the price, with excellent service. It is like being at the beginning of the s.XX again. Although Alexandria has mantained few things of its past, Metropole hotel is a small taste of what would have been the Alexandria of books and dreams. " |

| "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Metropole Hotel.
The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We loved the decor, old style lift, and ambience of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and we had a lovely dinner at the hotel. The bed was huge which made space in the room a little tight. The bathroom was new. A great location. Try and get a room with a view of the sea." |

| "Le Metropole is a real great value hotel in Alexandria. It is beautifully restored and its a good thing that the bathrooms have been renovated. I was on the 2nd floor and they have sound proofed the room so that you do not hear the noise from the street." |
