"The hotel staff was incredibly helpful to me: I wanted to dine at the hotel restaurant, when it actually was closed. No problem, they opened it for me as only guest! Another example: i had to leave my car for 4 days in Aswan, as they couldn't help me with a safe parking space in or near the hotel, one clerk offered me, that I can park my car at his place. Of course I was a little bit worried, but I had no other possibility. After four days my car still parked speckless in front of his house... and he didn't want any money, even after I almost forced the money into his hand, he didn't take it."

"For the price this hotel is a good choice. It is located right on the bank of the Nile & very central. Sure,it has slight shabbiness[but clean], but considering the location & price - recommended."

"The Isis Hotel in Aswan was a real deception. We expected a wonderful view on the nile, but it was only a view on stinking loud ships stopping just in front of the hotel. the rooms were very simple, definitely not rooms of a four star hotel!! The garden which you can see on the photographs on internet consists of a few trees between the rooms. We were travelling with a little child, and this was really not the place where we wanted to stay! Luckily we managed to change to the Isis Island Resort, which is another hotel belonging to the same chain, but completely different. It is on an island on the nile, so it is quiet, and you have wonderful looks on the nile, the sailing boats and the sun set. It has two swimmingpools, one is even heated (very useful in winter time). It is a little bit more expensive, as it is a five star hotel, but it is of a completely different standard. There, we really enjoyed our holiday. There is a free shuttle boat bringing guests to Aswan. We reccomend that one!"

"The best about this hotel is it's location. It's the only hotel right on the nile! And with a spectacular view too! Also, located right across the shopping bazaar. So very convenient to do some shopping. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Nice pool, but very cold! Service was good. Buffet breakfast not bad. "

"Very good basic hotel. Rooms clean but in need of some modernising. Nice pool area and good breakfasts. The best thing however is the central location being just opposite the market and on the bank of the Nile with no road in between (the only other such hotel is the Old Cataract which is around 8 times the price per night). Therefore one has beautiful uninterrupted views of the river."

"It is a good hotel, bungalow style, in the center of Aswar. It is good for its price. Not luxurious but comfortable and quite clean. Absolutely recommeded. Perfect views of the Nile. "

"WE found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very basic and definately needed upgrading, as did the hotel. Good location for the town and souk. Ideal for those on a budget. Rooms very private. "

"Very pleasant stay, centered in town, helpful people, Good breakfast, clean room, logical price for our needs. Unfortunately, intead of all the above, as we arrived the confirmation of our reservation was not found in the reception and we had to wait 15 minutes to find it. Some continuous noise of music, all day and night, from the cruise boats on Nile in front of the hotel, was not the best for relax after a hard day. "

"Very nice hotel with a fantastic view of the Nile. Clean and a good, polite standard of service from the staff. We would definitely come back and stay again."
