| "This hotel had very friendly staff.
We had a bit of a problem with taxis finding the hotel but this was because the locals know the hotel as Gawharet Al Ahram Hotel and not as Husa Pyramids.
The food manager was very warm and welcoming and was nice to have a laugh with.
the view from the Panorama Terrace Restaurant of the Pyramids was amazing, it was nice to be able to see how close they were during the daylight and watch them light up during the sound and light show.
The rooms were comfortable and complete with fridges which occasionally were too cold turning our water to bottles of ice.
The only disapointing thing about this hotel was that is was smack bang in the middle of a busy street and built up area so all you could see from the windows of your rooms were the locals apartments and all you could hear was the constant horns of drivers on the main road. If you want a place to stay overnight as a stopover this is a good cheap hotel, if you want a hotel where you can relax by the pool and sunbathe for a week I recommend choosing another hotel." |

| "There is no way this hotel is 5 star, 2 or maybe 3 at the most. The only good thing about this hotel is the staff. The location is right outside Cairo and whilst it is close to the Pyramids it is a long distance fron other attractions.
We arranged a hotel car to take us to Alexandria, but the driver tried to rip us off by trying to charge nearly 3 times the cost of the lunch & then to make matters worse, he tried to charge us for fuel for the car. On top of this the driver dropped a 3 day old Pentax camera and broke it.I complained when we got back to the hotel and they apologised and said they would not use that driver again.
On arrival we were give a very small room and I complained and we were move to a room nearly twice the size, again they apologised. I would never stay at this hotel again and do not think it ws good value for money." |
