| "Le Meridian is very convieniently located about a 20min walk from the Pyramids. It is on a very busy road which is very difficult to cross as it is grid lock all day and most of the night.Would definately recommend a Pyramids view room, the rooms are well appointed and comfy, the view is stunning and you can watch the sound and light show in the evenings.
The pool is a cool and scenic haven after the riggors of Cairo, with stunning views of the Pyramids, food at the pool bar is good and there are plenty of loungers well managed by the pool attendents.
The food generally in the hotel is good, the breakfast buffet is one of the best we had in Egypt, the Mexican restaurant serves tasty though not very authentic food, but this is Egypt.
Only a few negatives,The lifts are so slow its quicker to walk.
The bank staff don't like changing travellers cheques, so will tell you to come back later, this usually means when there shift is finished, the computer isn't down they just dont like having to type your details in!
Make sure you settle your bill the night before you leave, if you have a problem with it as we did it will take you lots of time and argument trying to get it fixed, basically keep a tally of the things you sign to your room, one of our food bills had been increased and it was the only one missing, funny that!!
The hotel is currently being extended, will be a bit of a noisey building site for the next 6 months I would think." |

| "the pics on the internet do not fit with the reality! This hotel should not be called as a Le Meridien! Very old and the concierge always tried to give me the most expensive solution instead of the best and cheapest one. Was very disappointed! Still have the dysentery... one week after I left! Was not my first time in cairo but my first and last in this hotel! " |

| "Nice egyption 5 Star perfect for the pyramids, and with very helpful staff, although being Egypt they expect a tip. Would stay again. Great breakfast." |
