This hotel is not new but in everything it can be acceptable if you want to spend little. The rooms are not very great and it is enough clean.
The conditioned air works and also the television and the warm water. The breakfast is to sideboard it is enough assorted. The restaurant has a good food to convenient price, around 8-10 Euro.

| "Our room was dark, small, view of the backs of buildings, the furniture was ancient and the bathroom was not clean. Straight away we asked to change rooms but all were the same so we upgraded to a suite at a cost of an extra $33 a night, this was much bigger and cleaner but the furniture and fittings were dated, does not seem that the hotel has ever been refurbished. Some staff were pleasant and polite others were rude and leery. The concierge lost interest when we refused to pay over rated prices for taxis to the pyramids. I would not stay here again and would not recommend to anyone." |

| "Tacky decor. Hotel in dire need of renovations. Our room had no hot water. AND, it was extremely cold at night. Luckily my wife and I packed sleeping bags which we ended up using on top of the 3 layers of blankets!
Breakfast buffet was not bad..but you had to eat quick as the room was quickly filled with cigarette smoke! Thank goodness we stayed only 2 nights in Cairo. Couldn't bear to stay in this hotel another night!" |

| "First of all the room depicted in the catalogue is a suite and in no way resembles a normal room. We changed rooms four times and it was still terrible. The rooms are small, aircon is very loud, the rooms are dirty and there is more mould in the bathrooms then any group-house I've ever seen. The aircon units are also lined up vertically so the one above drips down making quite a racket all night long. Breakfast is shocking and there is no fruit.Don't even bother with the coffee. We went and bought fruit and took it back to our room and were informed that it was against state regulation to bring food into the hotel!!! There idea of house cleaning was to turn the pillowcases inside out - I kid you not! also if you ask for a double bed it will be made up of two singles pushed together and two or three single sheets laid across it so when you get into bed your feet end up sliding against the matress. The lift worked periodically and smelled terrible but it must be said the staff tried hard. They were no use at all as far as tourist information went though. It would seem most Egyptain hotels are equally bad so spend the extra money and go five star. also you can't get away from cigarette smoke be it at breakfast or the internet cafe but this seems to be a country wide problem and is made less obvious outside due to the other pollution." |
