The worst Marriot hotel we have ever stayed in, and definitely not 5 *. But then anything in Egypt needs to knock off 2 *'s and then you can start talking. Egypt must have the most lying, theiving, money grabbing "people" in the world, we had an argument over bills and with taxi drivers every day, not a very pleasent way to remember a holiday. Thank goodness we were only there for three days. Definitly not going back and would certainly not reccommend Egypt at all.

| "The Marriott staff were extremly helpful. Rooms were not quite up to the 5 star standard of Marriott rooms we have had else where in the world, but we were at the Mountain side part of the resort, and are unable to comment on the beach side.
We would use this hotel again, as the food, service and helpfullness of the staff was excellent." |

| "we have stayed at the Marriot Beach Resort Mountain side during the month of July 2008. We were four, Mywife, my two kids & Myself. The hotel was overall ok. We first stayed in a room which is located in the 3rd floor. It was not convenient due to unavailability of the Elevator and the horizontal shape of the hotels. My kids got tired when we reached the room. We had to change our room to the a first floor level which was OK. The location is in Naama Bay beach but not directly located in Naama Bay resturants and shops area. We had to walk for 15 minutes or take taxi (Egyptian pounds 10) to reach to the Naama bay restuarants area. When I booked through Asia, I thought I would stay at the beach front but room will be facing mountain, but it was not so. Also I though we we close to Naama bay restaurants & shops area. Maritime (previously Movenpick) & Hilton and some other hotels are closer to that area. However, I would recommend the Beach side of the Marriot over the mountain side. " |

| "Good hotel... Clean room, good service and facilities including Beach etc etc. There is a shuttle bus that takes you to and from the hotel when you land and depart. Make use of this service as its very good and will save you hassle from the taxi drivers. Once again if you do take a taxi dont tell them you are staying at the Marriott (for obvious reasons).
Be careful of one thing though, There are two parts to this hotel. The Mountain Side and the Beach Side. This website books you into the Mountain side I think. The two are only across the road from each other and the both sites are exactly the same apart from the Beach side is directly linked to the Promenade Walk (pedestrian link into main Naa'ma Bay area) and Private Marriott's Beach. Both hotels can use each others facilities so theres not really much bother but just be aware.
The hotel is decently located and a 10-15 min walk along the Promenade will take you into the main restaurant and shopping area at Naa'Ma bay. Its a nice clean walk and you dont get taxi drivers hassling you and every other step.
Overall its a decent hotel (4 Star not 5) and only reason I would not stay here again would be to try somewhere else." |

| "The only thing that wasnt as expected is the transport from the hotel to airport and airport to hotel. As it stated there frequent shuttle between the two but there is none and we had to take taxis.
The hotel is a short wlak to nema bay but, a closer one would have been nice.
Otherwise it was an amazing resort." |
