This establishment is the only game in town, so they are free to over-charge for what they offer, jack up the prices of food available, and bait and switch at random.
Yes, it was a clean and relatively comfortable place to stay near Ayers Rock (relative to sleeping under the stars in the desert). However, we reserved a double room, and they gave us a bunk room, saying there was nothing else available. My husband is a senior and I am close behind. It's not my cup of tea to sleep under a bed's springs that are 2 1/2 feet over the bottom bunk, nor is it fun for me to climb up to the top bunk in the middle of the night. Especially for the inflated price.
