web site did not mention that there is a charge for parking. even so, the reception should tell us there is a parking fee and how much it is. it is not a good service to only inform us on the charges when check out, then we are caught unaware and had to fork out extra money for that.

The hotel is located in a very...
The hotel is located in a very convenient location with a nice large room with all facilities. The service was prompt and helpful. There is a good restaurant next door with good breakfast and dining facilities. All major transport points are close by. I would recommend it to most travellers to brisbane who want a good stay at a reasonable price.

The room was old and needed urgent...
The room was old and needed urgent repairs to warrant the prices charged. I have just completed a 8 month world tour and stayed in mostly 3 star hotels. This was by far the worst I have stayed in. The location is excellent which accounts for its popularity. The food (I'm a retired chef & restaurateur) was generally poor. Breakfasts were very good but the dinner was not

The room was very shabby and dirty....
The room was very shabby and dirty. The carpet was heavily stained and the general conditions of the room were very poor. Staff were not interested in my comments and showed lttle concern. Facilities at the hotel were not as discribed on your web site. Because of this my time spent there as not enjoyable and I would not recommed your site or the hotel.

We stayed at the Goodearth Hotel in...
We stayed at the Goodearth Hotel in February this year. The room wasn't what we expected as the room was rather budget. We encountered several problems with our room, but fortunately they were fixed after we complained about it at least 3 times. The problems we encountered were that the curtains were not long enough to block out the sun (later they provided us bull clips to attach between the curtains and the side wall railings) and the air conditioning was working very poorly and was very noisy. Please be a careful driver and preferably drive a small car if you intend to park at the hotel car park. There are poles everywhere and the car park is quite tight, so it's quite a task to manouvere through the car park. However, saying that, the staff were quite nice and friendly, and the breakfast wasn't too bad either. But I still probably would never stay there again unless it was the last resort.

The room and hotel were perfectly adequate and were very close to the centre of Brisbane - although a bit of a steep walk uphill on the way back. A taxi from the bootm of the hill is quite reasonable if you cant manage the hill. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and would organise any trips you wanted to do e.g. Australia Zoo and they also organised taxis for meals out in the evening and transport down to our next point of stay- on the far end of the Gold Coast. This is particularly useful if you are only staying a short time & not familiar with the area.

Average. The actual room was a good...
Average. The actual room was a good size, but it was a bit grim and a bit dirty. The pool is okay but it is so small you have to go when nobody else is there. The location is excellent and it is a 5-10 min walk into the centre of town. The staff were pleasant enough, and had a free safety deposit box. If you are looking for somewhere to park your head for the night it is fine, if you are on the holiday of your dreams and want a bit of luxury look elsewhere.

In terms of location, I couldn't fault this accommodation. The room could have been cleaner though (we found a crisp packet in the wardrobe) and one of the bedside lights didn't work at all. Breakfast was reasonable with a pretty good selection of food although you could get it cheaper in the city. All in all our stay was fine... We used the place very much as a base for the things we ended up going to see so it didn't matter too much that the accommodation was just ok. Ending on a positive, we thought the room size was excellent!

Good value, well-located hotel with great views...
Good value, well-located hotel with great views across the city. Nothing flash but everything you need - good pizzas as well. Very handy for Roma St Transit Centre.
