The hotel was great - the staff very helpful and friendly and the location was good too. Only downside was the location of the TV in the room. The positioning of the TV on the sideboard did not make for very comfortable viewing. Perhaps a better position would be to mount the TV on the wall in front of the bed. Everything else about the hotel was excellent.
Good location but very bland hotel. Many rooms located near the lifts which frequently announce their arrival at your floor very loudly (even through the night!) so avoid these if possible. Nice breakfast. Useful for business travellers, though be warned, it will cost you $5 to store your luggage after checking out.
Not a good hotel for first timers to Brisbane. There is no concierge to help you with information and bookings. The room was clean, but the walls are very thin. I could hear my neighbors just having a normal conversation. Good thing is that is is just 2 blocks from the airtrain to the airport, and 4 blocks from the mall.
We have to pay $10 carpark each night at Mecure hotel, same accor group. This was the only disappointment for this excellent facility.
Also the Restaurant menu was very poor, not good presentation and only two waitresses were not enough to serve us quickly. They could be more custoer friendly. I was annoyed when two couples were served before us who has arrived at least 5 minutes later than us. We also had our reservation. It took more than 15 minute to serve a bottle of sparkling wine and have to ask twice for this. I will never use this facility again.
We were looking forward to use a happy hour each night, we thought that was 5:30 - 6:30 instead of 4:30 to 5:30. When we came down around 5:35, we were told it's too late. If she smiled and served us, she could sell us at least two glasses of wie each. she was not friendly at all both nights.
We also wish to save your water, so made our bed and put sign on bed and also hung our bath towel to reuse the following day which was changed. we appreciate it but we should reuse these towels which was used only once. Bath tab could be a bit wider than that to have a shower.
This is just an opinion, no way critisizing your facility. The location is excellent for FIT and non driving couple.

The only disadvantage, for me, in staying at Hotel Ibis, was that it is very expensive to get onto Internet and e-mail for any guest who does not have an Australian server. There is a "wireless" connexion, which was what I wanted, but you have to go through Telstra and your credit card, which is ridiculously expensive. Non-Australians, beware! Apart from that, the hotel and its services are excellent.
this was great. is the ibis in perth of the same standard. if so is there a special at a similar rate as ibis in brisbine as we are looking ofr 1 x double for in on 3 april and out 6 april
No direct complaints,but we found the dinning room closed too early(even before actual closing time)as many guests arrive later and are tired and hungry and need a meal before retiring to ther rooms.Otherwise everything else is perfect.(as was the special accpmmadation rate of 100 dallars)
They put us in a very nice room on 16th floor. The room seemed to be newly refurbished and was massive. The staff was friendly and helpful. Def recommend this place for its value for money!
