This is well-located with good rooms. However, if you depend upon good restaurant and bar facilities at the hotel you will probably be disappointed (if you are lucky enough to hit upon a time when the bar is actually open!). There are vending machines available as an alternative.

The hotel staff was friendly. Although at times the hotel was understaffed. We asked for directions a few times and they were always very helpful and went out of their way to map things out for us.

Twin rooms larger than double room. Hotel...
Twin rooms larger than double room. Hotel is good value for centre of Brisbane. Impressed with large picture window in twin room overlooking city and river views. View is not as good from other (northern?) side of hotel. Late (11.00 a.m.) check-out was appreciated after a late night out.

Ibis Brisbane is in an excellent location...
Ibis Brisbane is in an excellent location - within walking distance to : Southbank (10 mins), Queen St Mall (and hence the bus station there)(5 mins), and Roma St transport centre (5 mins). A taxi from the airport cost A$23. It can be difficult to find the entrance first time round - it is at the back of the McDonalds near the Dept of Justice Building. Facilities are shared with the Mercure Hotel (we didn't use any). Breakfast is quite good but expensive enough at $12. We were so satisfied we returned to this hotel the following weekend.

The hotel was very comfortable and accommodating....
The hotel was very comfortable and accommodating. The staff were very friendly, the meals served in the restaurant were excellent. I enjoyed my stay there very much, and would do so again.

Centrally located and within walking distance to city attractions. Handy to Transit Centre. Don't bother bringing a car - the hotel itself does not have guest car parking.
