The hotel location is good. A good room size and well equipped, but although not dirty, there is something creepy about the place. After killing a cockroach crawling on the desk, we did not sleep so good that night. The beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. The mattress sinks as you sit on it and shifts as you lay on it. All night long we had to make sure our bodies are evenly distributed on the mattress surface to avoid it from tilting. Needless to say, a sleepless night and sore bodies the next day. Parking area is under the building, very tight and almost impossible to maneouver around.

The lobby was being remodeled or added onto and it was difficult with all the construction going on. Otherwise, the location was great, the day staff was courteous and helpful, the room was nice and we would stay there again.

This hotel is perfectly located at the Brisbane center, with 2 train stations located really near the hotel, and also a bus station. you´ll find everything from shops, to bars,the casino, banks, atms, restaurants and fast food just 3 minutes walk from the hotel.

This hotel is one of the oldest...
This hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Brisbane. I would recommend if your planning to stay at the hotel stay on one of the upper floors so you get a good view of Brisbane. Also go for a suite. We started off with a standard room and got upgraded due to heavy rain causing a leak in the ceiling - the Suite was fantastic - seperate sleeping area, bathroom, living area....etc,lots more space and comfortable. The town is just down the stairs past the park,5mins walk.Coffee shops next door. Park opposite. Currently undergoing some construction work but don't let this put you off.

Advertised as having an indoor swimming pool as well as an outdoor one, NO POOLS at all SHAME.
Otherwise it was very pleasant and clean and definitely value for money, will use it again, get a pool!!!
