As the period we are travelling coincided with a major convention event in Brisbane, we were left with very limited choice as most hotels are fully booked. Soho Hotel was offering a pricey accomodation - given the tiny room we have to put up with. Walking distance to the CBD district like Queen's Mall was a stone's throw and that was the only attractiveness about Soho. As the window panels in the toilet are fixed and cannot be closed, I was freezing during showers (it is winter in Brisbane during my stay). Also, the wall and door structures are not noise insolent and we have to put up with noise from road passers-by and vehicles at night.
Money needs to be spent to up grade this hotel, the only thing nice about the hotel was the sign out front of the hotel.I,m glad my wife wasn,t with me for she would have refused to stay there.
My stay was vwery pleasant and I was very deilighted by the offer of free Internet services and the availiabitiy of good breakfast / dinner at the hotel rest. Very close to Roma Train Station.
What a luck, that I called when the plane was late, the last train by then gone, such long queues at the shuttle you had to wait for over an hour to be able to board. But now the trip from domestic to the hotel did cost me 49 dollars, quite a lot I must say
