Stayed at Abbey Beach Resort for Busselton...
Stayed at Abbey Beach Resort for Busselton Half Ironman. Had one bedroom which was quite large and very nice having large kitchen. Had to lug bike and luggae up stairs though, no lift at that end. Also if had room with afternoon sun would be better. Is quite far from town so you will need to drive most places. Very quiet and peaceful though and gallery is quite good. Make sure you check the official check-out time as I was told 10am at the hotel.

We went to Abbey with our 2 small girls aged 2 and 4. The room was great even though it was a Studio room. It fitted us comfortably for two nights. Wireless internet access is available for AUD$10 (120 mins usage over a period of 24 Hours).

i turned up on the friday, as i showerd just befor i left for abby bea res i didn`t use the bathroom on the first night. the folowing morning i went to take
a spa and low and behold...it didn`t work. i informed the managment and they sent someone up to fix it. they couldn`t fix it so i went without. i had to go to a wedding and when i returned the room was hot like a sauna. the spa was running with hot water in it. i might add the room was hot without the aircon on anyway , which wasn`t on. i turned the spa off trying to cool the room down . by this stage i was sweating from the heat of the spa , also the humidity caused. i then refiled the spa a bit latter on and guess what. it didn`t work. i informed the managment again and was soon moved to another room.for two days i had no spa and recieved nothing in compensation for not geting what i paid for.

Voted the most exclusive resort in WA and easy to see why. Just spent a lovely 3 day break there and was extremely pleased with the studio accom and would stay there again.

The only setback is that the beach...
The only setback is that the beach at Abbey is not as lovely as that over at the Jetty. Other that, a lovely stay and the kids love the jacuzzi bath!
The only problem I faced was to...
The only problem I faced was to carry my own luggage (3 heavy bags + other stuff for the family) up two storeys to my apartment, which was NOT serviced by elevators AND porters. This is not expected of a resort hotel (not motel) with heated swimming pools, tennis courts and the like. Everything else was very good.

The stay was very pleasant and we really liked the cleanliness and spaciousness of the apartment.
However, the only drawback is that the attached bathroom in one of the rooms did not have a door and that made it very inconvenient. When one is having a shower in the bathroom, no one could use the room at all.

The hotel backs on to the beach and there was a path along the shore. The food in the restaurant by the pool was very good.
