best western seridian cairns is the hotel for family with children and woth for the money when compared to other 3 star hotel in cairns.
only draw back is no lift
nice hotel, perfect value for what you pay, nice bed, room quite big, with balcony, bathroom with shower, amenities, coffee facilities, minibar...
very nice breakfast, and they make the reservations for the shuttle to the airport, we liked it much, we would be back
An older facility but I think they had just installed new beds. Some deferred maintenance noted such as bath mirror. NO LIFT and all room are at least 1 flight up. NO HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE! Nice pool and bar. Restaurant but we saw no customers. Do offer airport transfer. Air conditioner was a wall unit that was a bit loud and blew on the bed in our room. Desk staff very helpful. Units have court yard view with deck, table & chairs. Price was right as we only use a room from late evening to mid morning. Sister facility, Rainbow Inn, 1/2 block away. A bit more upscale.
3 blocks from the bay front but a 20-30 minute walk to the docks. Reasonable walk to restaurants but you may want a cab back. We would stay there again.
I checked in at around 11pm, and there was a sign on the door telling me to walk to the next block to a different hotel to check in and then return to this hotel. Unbelievably there was another sign at the other hotel telling me to walk to another place, a bar, to check in. This hotel needs to be delisted. I have never seen anything like it. Sent on a wild goose chase at night with all my bags? Come on.
