The location of the hotel is fantastic. I stayed at the Ibis on two separate occasions, firstly in a twin room with my Dad, and then a few weeks later on my return to Sydney in a single occupancy room. The single occupancy room was fantastic, with lots and room and I enjoyed having a nice big bed all to myself!! However, Dad and I stuggled in the twin room as it was very small for two people to share. Overall though, was very pleased and thought it was good value for money.

Bad Service nor any service given at...
Bad Service nor any service given at all. This hotel should not be recomm for families with young children because of the limited space in the room. No facilities in the hotel. I wouldn't recomm for those who visit Sydney for the first time nor any businessman.

The location was great and the view over the harbour good . Tjhe room itself was very small and had little hanging space ( next to none ) and no room for 2 suitcases . It is ideal for those non a budget and wanting to be central to Sydney

A basic functional hotel on Darling Harbour...
A basic functional hotel on Darling Harbour which represents good value in a city of expensive luxury hotels. It is very close to the restaurants of Cockle Wharf and Harbourside and only a few minutes walk from the Fish Market. The monorail is very close by. If you want a decent view of Darling Harbour it is essential to request a room on the higher floors. It is a 40 minute walk to Circular Quay where the Opera House is and from where you take the ferries to all parts of Sydney. There are ferries which take about 25mins from the Maritime Museum close by to Circular Quay. I would suggest you go to Harbourside for breakfast(5 min walk) as in the hotel it was quite expensive and not very good. On Harbourside it is half the price and very good. Next time I would probably try and find a hotel closer to Circular Quay for the convenience of being in the heart of the city.

My wife and I liked the stay...
My wife and I liked the stay with you. However, beeing smokers and the fact that the room did not have windows that could be opened, we found it difficult to air out the smoke and the smell of smoke even if we did not smoke while beeing in the room.

The view over the harbour (for which you pay extra) is worth every penny. Very good buffet breakfast which is available earlier than other restaurants in this area.

We found the staff extremely helpful, we...
We found the staff extremely helpful, we arrived very early and it was no problem to check in early. We had a fantastic view over the harbour and found we were centrally located. Anything further away was easily reached by the mono rail which was located very near to the hotel. Thanks for a great stay!!!
