quiet rural spot
Lovely quiet motel just south of Halls Gap. As other reviews noted, wildlife was all around with kangaroos sunbathing on the grass a few metres from our room. Room was typical design, layout and specification of Australian motel rooms. Free WiFi had just been added but signal from our room was too weak - good strong signal could be received if you sat out in the BBQ area! Limited opportunities for dining out in the evenings - Halls Gap seems to shut down at 5.30 at this time of the year! Many roads still closed by the flooding landslides,, but drive to Reids Lookout and Boroka lookouts are a must, but requires a very long detour of more than 100km.
