The location is great if you don't...

The location is great if you don't want to be disturbed. Not so good if you are looking for some night life after 7pm. We were there during 'stinger' season so we could not use the beach which was very close to the hotel. The salt water pool was great. Staff was very helpful with booking our trips to the numerous sights, diving and snorkeling on the reef, etc. We were very happy with this facility and ended up staying extra nights rather than moving up the coast to Port Douglas. Taxi rides outside of the resort were expensive, but the cost of the nearby tours and trips were included in the bookings. A small grocery store and bottle shop provided all the amenities we needed. Restaurants nearby are ok, but nothing great.

this was a good hotel with a...

this was a good hotel with a really nice room and good location. a bit out of town (about Aus $25 to get to town) but easy to book trips from the hotel and pick up for these is from the hotel. pick up about $10 - $15 depending on trip. when booking trips sometimes a fuel levy is added. internet access from their computers from about 7am - 18.30pm - cost $2 for about 15 minutes. Lovely pool/jacuzzi and two barbecue grills free to use. Good place to relax - beach on your doorstep and a stinger resistant beach enclosure! Air conditioning in bedrooms only but ceiling fans in other areas of apartment, adequate cooking facilities - definitely worth a stay.

Hotel in picturesque quiet area,Good clean room...

Hotel in picturesque quiet area,Good clean room with enough facilites, handy for local shops and bus route into Cairns. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only downside was extremely expensive cost of international phone calls from hotel. Would definitely come back and use the same hotel,......... but not the telephone.....

This was a good place to stay...

This was a good place to stay for the money, everything we read about the hotel was goog and true. The only thing I didnt like about the hotel was you had to leave your room at 10.00 am the day you left which I thought was not right when you pay for 24 hours. I would like to thank has a company you offered a very good service and I will be using you again. Thanks for everything.

We arrived in Cairns at 4.30am and...

We arrived in Cairns at 4.30am and thought that we would have to wait until 2pm to book into the resort but we were able to take a taxi direct to the resort and had been given a code to get our key and get into our appartment. A very big thankyou to the resort for that courtesy. Our balcony overlooked the beach whilst I noted that others overlooked the pool area or the beautiful gardens. The appartment was well stocked with crockery and cutlery, a microwave, electric hob but no oven. The staff were happy polite and very helpful when it came to arranging tours. I enjoyed being away from the main city of Cairns. Much more peaceful. The bus to Cairns was quick and cheap. We hired a car on our 4th day to explore and an undercover carpark at the resort kept the car safe at night. Thankyou AsiaRooms and Cairns Beach Resort, I can recommend you using both.

We probably went on the wrong season,...

We probably went on the wrong season, the beaches which is right in the front of the hotel are grayish in color. So we were stuck for 3 days not considering to play on the beach at all. The hotel is OK, except 3 floors with no elevators, not recommended for senior or guest with heavy carry on.

We were quite upset with the check-in...

We were quite upset with the check-in and the cleanliness of the room. We arrived early in the morning at 5.30am and waited till 7.30am for the staff to arrive. But end up checking in the hotel only at around 1.45pm. It was a long and tiring wait. Common toilet was locked and we were not able to use it to freshen up ourselves. Ants were found everywhere in the kitchen, bedroom and toilet and we were all bitten by these nasty creatures. Despite the above, i must say that the staffs were actually quite helpful and friendly.

Place was beautiful everything we needed. Except...

Place was beautiful everything we needed. Except reception seemed to be part-time. When we checked out there was no where to put keys. Slight problem with the insects that seem to be glued to our floor level. But a relly nice place to stay though more for families and seniors.
