We stayed 1N on 22 Sep 2007...
We stayed 1N on 22 Sep 2007 @ the hotel. Its further south on Stuart Highway about 2-3mins drive fr Katherine town ctr where u can find Woolsworth (opened till 12midnite) 2 stock up on F&B stuff. The rm was clean & comfortable for 2pax. The mattress for the double bed was ok but the single bed has very bad back support, if I should say, not suitable 2 sleep on! The reception was v friendly too. As the hotel was fully booked for dinner, she recommended another eating place, which unfortunately was full too, so we ended up eating @ Red Rooster, which was a nice chg fr the usual fish & chips, pastas, pizzas & steaks. The full brkfast buffet @A$19 was very good value for $ too.

Just a little south of town on the Stuart Highway but nothing better in the centre and no problem if you have a car. A quiet spacious site and the motel style rooms are well fitted and all you would expect of an Accor hotel. Staff are friendly and easy going in the typical Ozzie fashion. The hotel is conveniently situated for Katherine Gorge. Good value for money.

This hotel has had better times! Our room was not clean at all! A lot of dead insects were lying on the carpet. The carpet wasn't vacuumed at all.The pool was very dirty. The water looked green and there were a lot of insects in it as well as leafs.The pool wasn't cleaned during our stay.
The restaurant looked very dark. We didn't used it and we had dinner in town.

You get what you pay for, a clean, comfortable 3 star room, motel style. The dining room could do with breaking up a little with more plants etc to create a better atmosphere but food and service were fine. It's a pity that with such attractive grounds that seating areas outside so many rooms just faced the car park. The pool was good but surely a few sun loungers about could also add to the atmosphere, image and comfort. A decent hotel with pleasant staff, which we would happily visit again.
