FROM HAMILTON ISLAND : Cruise Whitsundays operate regular services from Great Barrier Reef Airport (Hamilton Island).

The transfer will take you from Hamilton Island to Long Island.

FROM SHUTE HARBOUR AND ABEL POINT: Cruise Whitsundays also operate regular services from Shute Harbour and Abel Point Marina.

BY AIR: The Whitsunday's are serviced by two domestic airports, Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island and Whitsunday Coast Airport on the mainland at Proserpine.

Flying time is approximately 1.5 hours north of Brisbane, 2 hours north of Sydney, 3 hours from Melbourne and 1.5 hours from Cairns to Hamilton.

Direct services operate from Cairns, Brisbane Sydney and Melbourne, with domestic and international connections via Brisbane, Sydney and Cairns airports.

From Whitsunday Coast Airport (Proserpine) regular Whitsunday Transit Coaches meet all flights for a 60 minute transfer to Shute Harbour or Abel Point Marina to connect with a ferry service.

Please check your flight arrives well before the last ferry service for the day.

BY ROAD: The Whitsunday's can be accessed by the Bruce Highway which covers the East coast of Queensland from Cairns to Brisbane.

Dependant on conditions, driving time from Brisbane is approximately 12 hours north to Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour and 8 hours south from Cairns.

Regular coach services also operate into Airlie Beach.

BY RAIL: Regular daily train services depart from Brisbane, heading North and from Cairns and Townsville heading South.

A Whitsunday Transit Coach service is available from Proserpine Rail Station with launch connection from Shute Harbour to Long Island Resort.
