We'll keep this short, by all means...
We'll keep this short, by all means go to beautiful maggie (as the locals call it). Avoid Base on a "full moon" party night. The music is Ssoooooooooo loud, its nothing but an obscene drink fest, and we both found the "security" staff rude and "smart". This may just be one base, but its turned us off staying at anymore. We just stayed in a dorm, the room was adequate, somewhat clean, my girlfriend complained about the state of the female toilets, to no result. Sorry no more base stays for us.
