I was a little disappointed with the swimming pool at the hotle.
I was really concerned that there were 4 of us , two children under 12 and two adults , and I had asked yourselves what room I should book and was advised to book a triple.
On arriving at the hotel, they were not happy to put us all in one room. They eventually found a room with some space to put down a roll out bed, but said it was against the hotal policy to do this.
This did cause us concern and resulted in us waiting for quite sometime to be sorted. Not something you want after 26 hours of travel!

The service was great, the room average, the bathroom below average. There were various pumps in the shower and near the basin with shower gel, lotion, etc but our shower gel was empty and also the shampoo which we felt was very poor. These should be checked daily. The hotel needs a facelift, age is starting to show through. General maintenance needs a lift. The rooftop pool was great. Beside previous visitors leaving their empty bottles lying around it was lovely as the pool temperature was warm as a bath! The buffet breakfast was very satisfactory and great value at $15 PP.

Was highly disappointed with the Grand Chancellor hotel, the room was small and dark with a very unattractive view of an alleyway. Booked this hotel because it was rated 4 stars, but was no where near that.

Rooms of poor quality. No storage space for clothes. Dim lighting. Old furniture. No view. Foyer and restaurant gives a good impression but rooms are sub standard. Definitely not good value.

The rooms are not to the standard I expected. Old furnishings and equipment it almost felt like a throwback to the 60s. Additionally the view from the window is virtually non existent so the room is dark during daylight hours.
