My sister and I live in the country but from time to time there are city events we like to attend but our enthusiasm is dampened by the thought of the long drive home. The Charsfield solves the problem by providing attractive accommodation, delicious breakfast and easy access for early departure. Despite being on St Kilda Road our room was quiet. The interior design of the restaurant and sitting rooms, while in keeping with the spirit of a grand house was not so formal as to feel intimidating and encouraged the visitor to want to linger.
Clean, nice and friendly hotel. A very good restautant for breakfast and dinner. When you travvel by tram it is a very good located hotel, just outside the city centre.

Friendly staff. Great atmosphere in old Victorianstyle building. Good quality of food. Cleaning could be better, especially bathroom!! Rooms are not big, but fit a couple. Our double bed was a small one for two adults; no kingsize!! Good facilities in room, such as wire less internet and tea/coffee facilities.
This was the best hotel we stayed at in the whole of Australia. Staff were extremeley helpful!!
Service was fantastic, Room was great. location was not too bad everywhere easily accesable by tram. Walk to beach was about 35 mins. Fantastic value for money
