My wife and I stayed in a...
My wife and I stayed in a 1BR apartment. These are ideal for couples who want good self-contained accommodation close to the city (would be too crowded with any more occupants). As we were visiting Melbourne for a 3-day event at the Vodafone Arena, we were within an easy 10 minute walk which was one of the primary considerations in choosing the Saville. It is also within walking distance to the Bourke St Mall where the major shopping chains are located, as well as Chinatown and other precincts. Good service from staff although some of the restaurant staff were a bit over-zealous on occasions, to the detriment of customer service. Highly recommended, and this is our preferred option when visiting Melbourne.
