The room was large, well furnished and clean. I didn't like the fact that it was not possible to open a window. The air conditioning was too cold on low and too hot off. Reception was efficient but not very friendly. The location is very central and convenient. I would stay there again.

The location of the hotel is perfect...
The location of the hotel is perfect within walking distance of the city and the shopping. (5 mins walk) You can also access the Swan River and the Barrack St Quay for river trips on the Swan or down to Fremantle and Rottnest Island. Starting point for trips further afield is in the next street (Pier St). The hotel has been well used and it is starting to show in the fixtures,fittings and furnishings. The restaurant is quite good, though for dinner it is a relativley small menu. If you have a car with you parking is available on site in the Wilson controlled car park and a connession is available from reception which reduces the AU$23 maximum day charge to AU$9. Public Transport travel is free in the central Perth zone and a bus stops within 50 metres of the hotel. Can't be beaten on location but is in urgent need of a makeover. Free WiFi is available in the reception and cafe/restaurant are but is patchy in the rooms (see receptioist for access details).

This hotel is in an excellent position for the city.
However it does not warrent a 3to4* rating.It is definately a budget hotel.THe foyer is shabbyand uninviting and the carpet well worn. The rooms are shabby and the furniture dark, old and dated,the wallpaper is hanging off the wall, and our cups were dirty.The sheets and towels were clean and there was plenty of hot water.On arrival it was late and we were tired after a long flight so had no alternative other than stay the one night.We did not stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that facility.

The room is spacious, and the bed is big and comfortable. But carpet is dirty and sticky. Bathroom wall very dirty, seems never wash for ages. Me & hubby whole body become senstive with rashes after shower. Front desk is not friendly. And they don't entertain late checkout despite its a low period.The hotel seriously need some maintenance or upgrade.

when i arrived...
location is quite ok.
when i arrived there, i wasnt given a porter to help. i had to use the luggage cart to bring all my bags up to the room. the reason given was there was only one person working.And even that, i was told to wait.
