The good point of this hotel is...
The good point of this hotel is its location, being just one block away from Murray st and Hay st shopping arcade, and also very near Visitor Information center.
However, the rooms are too small, and the beds are in bad conditions - no support and with broken springs etc. The price is also not exactly cheap for budget travellers.

We had a lot of luggage and there was no staff to help us transfer our luggages up to the room. The kettle, was very rusty inside the kettle and we felt very uncomfortable using it. We couldn't use the remote control for the TV because the cover that keeps the battery in place kept falling off.

Room was clean , well positioned.Service was good .The only problem was that the room was a little bit small for two people with two suitcases.

Although the hotel is nicely located close to the shopping area,what a shock my wife and I had at the size and gloominess of the room, when we opened the door. With the poor tv reception, rain falling on the window air-con unit, lack of tissue boxes and additional toilet rolls, it is not worth the value for money. I would rate it as below a 2 Star hotel.

The room too small and definitely not what you expecting for the price you paid.
The service really bad, for example:
1. When check in, need to find where the staff. Apparently the staff went off for smoke break and even saw us want to do check in, he just stay outside the hotel smoking.
2. Have requested for replacement for the boiler, but never come to the room till check out.
3. No TV remote by the time of check in, by saying should have one in the room. And when asked, there's no more extra TV remote control.
In summary, very good location, but with small rooms and bad services, not deserve of the price you paid for.

Our flight was delayed,by the time we arrived hotel was almost midnite.Staff Bob was very helpful,he helped us make booking for next day wine yard tour despite the office already closed.The next morning he checked again for us,making sure,we make it on time to join the one day tour at swan valley.I want to thank him once again.The hotel location is good.walking distance to the shopping streets and malls.FREE CATs buses are avaliable around the area.Very easy to explore perth city if you are first time traveler to perth and not driving,not necessary to drive if you stay in CBD area,subway train is so convenient.Taking taxi direct from international airport only cost you OZ$33 one way.

I only visited Perth for a short time period to attend to a few tasks. The hotel location is perfect. The price is just OK and the room matches that "just OK" comment too. I think the price and facilities match and are adequate. The only real nuisance was that the hair dryer did not work and there was no replacement provided. I literally went out and bought one.
